For no reason, after years of using this wonderful add-oin, I now can't fly it. On loading the aircraft in the menu, it will bring up a boxing saying error loading sound, and each click of ok brings up another box listing another sound item. Then at the end it will CTD. The fault is usually the AWX.Honeywell.GUA.

I've made zero modifications. I re-installed. Same issue. I havn't installed any windows updates (W7). Then randomly it loaded without issues. But when I ALT / Enter to go to window mode, it did the same thing. Then everytime I load it in the sim, same thing and same CTD.
I've never had this happen before.

Any help appreciated!!!

Hi all,

Great forum,  my name is Ron Duckworth,  some have linked my old King Air tutorials here and elsewhere.  I just wanted to inform those who have used them to build a cockpit.
Firstly, they were done nearly 20 years ago,  and as stated they were built around and to promote the range of panels made by Flightdecksolutions.  sadly, they discontinued and focused on airline types.

The few measurements given on the construction of the main MIP box were to suit the FDS panels and were not exact (real) sizes. mainly to use the old 4:3 monitors to display gauges.
Today, we have great stuff from Ruscool.  I have had a few emails from some, who said the Ruscool switch panels do not fit when using my old sizes.  They then had to remake the MIP box.

For example;  the width is given about 1220mm (from memory). Now, if you use the panels from Ruscool, the width should be about 1350mm.
So please be aware when planning to build.  Ruscool can provide detailed plans with all sizes for their panels.  Use my old stuff as a guide only.

I have done a few King Airs since,  changed many things, now use custom Aspen screens and flight illusion gauges.  It surprised me the old tutorials were still circulating.
not sure how to put a picture here, maybe attach.  First hook up of lighting,  needed some dimmers installed.

All the best,

I lost my old Dell that had my FS9 stuff including my AeroworxB200. I tried  fixing it with a new motherboard and that hasn't worked so far. I have another Dell with Windows 7 / 64 bit and it will run FS9 in XP SP3 compatibility but I can't get the King Air installed. When I try to install from the CD it tells me the installation can't be found or the install file is corrupt. The CD is perfect with no scratches or anything. Any ideas? This is like losing an old friend....I've been flying this for well over ten years.  Help !!

I have this download for the Aerworx KA :

File Description:
Collins WXR270 screen and Bendix KLN90B GPS are replaced by the awsesome Don Kuhn's Garmin gauges on the EFIS 2D panel only. The file is available from AVSIM. Fly then with Garmin GNS530 and GNS430 GPS Com/Nav Radios in pilot and co-pilot views,in VFR and IFR views. A licended copy of Aeroworx's Super King Air B200 v2.0.1 is required. Installation guidelines included. Zipdive to look inside some screenshots.

It works perfectly in the 2D panel only. But I would love to add them to a VC. I'm really not sure how to do this as my panel eiditing skills are non existent. None of it makes sence to me.  Embarrassed Sad

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've been loading flight plans via the built-in FS9 flight planner and all is working as expected, except, I cannot capture the localizer. The correct localizer frequency is dialed into the NAV1 radio. The KLN-90B has an approach and it has been activated.

At about 14nm from the airport and in the autopilot, I flip from GPS to NAV and then select ALT (hold) and APPR (approach).

The vertical deviation indicator on the EFIS begins to drop at the outer maker and then passes the lubber but the autopilot does not follow the localizer beam. I have to manually push the nose down myself and keep it in sync with deviation indicator.

What am I missing in the sequence of events. I  can land it manually anytime and it is a great airplane, love it!

I've found the repaint kit for the EFIS cockpit, but can't seem to find one for the Analog cockpit. Where does it exist?

Please advise and Thanks!
